Woke up a couple days ago with the idea of making something yummy for breakfast. This Cinnamon bread sounded amazing. Breads just might be my favorite food when i really have to pin point something, but then again i might say that just about any food is my favorite. So next time you are craving a tasty breakfast treat, try this (especially good when you top a slice off with some apple butter!)

Sweet Potato Summer
This past year has been quite an experience living with one vegan house-mate and three vegetarian house-mates. I have always loved food and cooking food, but cooking has such a different meaning when you not only know where your food comes from, but also experiment with different ways of cooking. To start off our wonderful blog, I wanted to share with you a wonderful recipe, one that can be modified for vegans, vegetarians, and meat-lovers alike, Black Bean Sweet Potatoes Burritos.
I added curry, chili powder, and spinach to my burritos for fun. For those who are vegans, cheese can easily be taken out and for those who want some more protein, chicken or some venison I am sure would be a wonderful addition to this meal. I would pair it with spinach and salsa salad or some cilantro and lime rice for a complete dish!
Bon Appétit!

Welcome to Our Delicious and (Quite a bit) Sustainable Food Blog!
So, welcome to the Soule Food blog, dedicated to meals, recipes, and food that the Soule family loves. As a hunter and fisherman for most of my life, our children were raised on wild game, but not exclusively.
Lately, we've attempted to give up as much "prepared meat" as we can from grocery stores. But we're not entirely purists, either, or extreme “food radicals” and understand the most important aspect of a meal is that it is shared with family and friends.
Most importantly, whether fowl, venison, or veggie, a meal should be lingered over and never rushed, unless of dire emergencies (sorry, being late for something doesn't count--you just need to prepare earlier next time).
Hope you enjoy some of the recipes--which are pretty simple--and ideas we've developed as a family who has finally reached a point in their lives when we can DINE.
